The Kurdistan Foundation has successfully implemented 20 community projects under its “10 Problems, 10 Solutions” initiative across Erbil and the wider Kurdistan Region during February and March 2026. The program aims to mobilize youth, identify pressing community challenges, and deliver practical, community-based solutions to strengthen public services and infrastructure.
The initiative brought together young participants from diverse backgrounds who worked to address 20 selected community issues over two monthly cycles. It focused on key sectors including education, healthcare, public infrastructure, and social services, ensuring inclusive participation and tangible community impact.
In February, projects addressed challenges such as school infrastructure repairs, hospital seating improvements, public park rehabilitation, installation of solar lighting, and the provision of educational and laboratory equipment. In March, the focus expanded to include improvements in healthcare facilities, school renovations, water systems in educational institutions, accessible infrastructure in public spaces, and environmental enhancements across urban areas.
Across both cycles, participants implemented solutions that directly benefited local communities, including students, patients, worshippers, and residents. Projects included the development of school libraries, accessibility upgrades in public spaces, installation of wheelchair ramps in commercial areas, and improvements to lighting systems in underserved regions.
The initiative followed a structured four-week cycle consisting of orientation, planning, implementation, and completion phases. During these stages, participants developed action plans, collaborated with experts, and executed solutions within defined budgets and timelines.
Through the successful completion of 20 projects, the Kurdistan Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment, civic engagement, and sustainable community development, guided by its core principles of “Belong, Build, and Become,” contributing to long-term social impact across the Kurdistan Region.
