Kurdistan Foundation officially inaugurated the “Innovation Showcase 2026” exhibition on April 27, 2026, at Youth Hub Erbil with the attendance of the founder of Kurdistan foundation, H.E. Areen Barzani. The initiative brought together 100 talented children and young innovators from across the Kurdistan Region to present projects focused on technology, artificial intelligence, coding, programming, and science.
Held under the theme “Innovation for a Stronger Kurdistan,” the exhibition aimed to celebrate youth creativity and demonstrate the growing role of innovation and technology in shaping the future of the region. Participants showcased live projects and interactive demonstrations, transforming Youth Hub into a dynamic platform for learning, experimentation, and knowledge exchange.
The event featured contributions from students representing multiple schools across Kurdistan, highlighting the increasing interest of young people in emerging technologies and digital innovation. Organizers described the showcase as a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to encourage critical thinking, creativity, and technological advancement among children and youth.
A major highlight of the exhibition was the AI Art Gallery hosted within Youth Hub, where participants displayed AI-generated artworks reflecting their visions of the past, present, and future of Kurdistan. The exhibition combined technology and artistic expression, offering visitors insight into how young people are using artificial intelligence as a creative tool to explore identity, culture, and future aspirations.
During the event, H.E. Areen Barzani toured the exhibition halls, engaged directly with participants, and explored the showcased projects. The program also included an exclusive “Diwani Kurdistan” discussion session with selected young innovators, focusing on technology, leadership, and the future of innovation in the Kurdistan Region.
The initiative reflects the Kurdistan Foundation’s continued commitment to supporting education, innovation, and youth empowerment through sustainable programs that encourage creativity and technological development. Through Youth Hub and related initiatives, the Foundation aims to create opportunities for young people to develop skills, exchange ideas, and contribute to building a more innovative and knowledge-based society in the Kurdistan Region.
