The Kurdistan Foundation has officially joined the Hope Network, a global initiative launched and supervised by the Kingdom of Bahrain to strengthen international cooperation and youth empowerment. This millstone was Guided by the vision of the Founder H.E. Areen Barzani, following a high-level visit by the Foundation’s delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain on 22 August 2025, upon the invitation of the Ministry of Youth Affairs.
During the visit, the Kurdistan Foundation delegation, led by Dr. Yara Barzanji, was warmly received by H.E. Aymen bin Tawfeeq Al-Moayed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and H.E. Mrs. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs. The meetings focused on youth empowerment, cultural exchange, and exploring future partnerships between the Kurdistan Region and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Discussions also included the potential linkage between Bahrain’s Youth Bank project and Kurdistan Foundation’s Ganjina project, aimed at supporting youth entrepreneurship and innovation. Following the visit, Kurdistan Foundation was officially welcomed as one of the 47 prominent members of the Hope Network, joining governments, ministries, and international organizations committed to advancing youth competitiveness and innovation worldwide.
The announcement was made during the second Hope Network meeting, chaired by H.E. Mrs. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi on 27 October 2025, who affirmed the Kingdom’s continued support under the leadership of H.H. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs. Her Excellency praised the Network’s growing impact documenting 34 inspiring youth practices and expanding its membership to 47 institutions, while highlighting the shared vision of empowering young people as partners in development and progress.
Kurdistan Foundation’s inclusion in the Hope Network marks a significant step in strengthening international collaboration and promoting innovative youth initiatives across the Kurdistan Region and beyond. The Foundation looks forward to working closely with its global partners to build a more creative, aware, and empowered generation.
