Aland Dedawan Khaleel, born on February 5, 2008, in Erbil, is a dedicated young leader and volunteer passionate about service, teamwork, and creating meaningful change. His journey began in grade two through the Student Life Organization, where he took on increasing responsibilities that shaped his skills in leadership, event organization, and community engagement. Over the years, he has expanded his impact through volunteering with the Kurdistan Foundation and volunteer.krd, leading initiatives that address both social and health challenges. One of Aland’s proudest achievements was co-leading a fundraising effort that raised $6,000 to provide insulin and medical supplies for children with diabetes, in partnership with the KRG Ministry of Health. He has also initiated an Anti-Bullying Program at his school, served as Head Prefect overseeing nine student-led departments, and successfully coordinated large-scale events such as the Kurdistan Regional Championship. His leadership has earned him recognition from the Minister of Health, the Governor of Erbil, and selection for the fully funded Student Life Training Camp in Greece. Through internships, event leadership, and personal challenges like becoming a certified scuba diver, Aland continues to push boundaries, proving that age is no barrier to making a lasting impact. Guided by the belief that “we are the future of Kurdistan,” he is committed to inspiring others to volunteer, lead, and dream without limits.
