Fatima Muhsin Iskan

Fatima Muhsin Iskan, born on January 27, 2000, in Zakho, Fatima grew up in a traditional family where girls’ education was not a priority. Despite many challenges, she nurtured a deep love for learning, teaching herself English and eventually becoming a dedicated teacher. Her journey shaped her into a resilient educator, entrepreneur, and advocate for women and youth. As a teacher, Fatima inspires her students to believe in themselves, creating engaging and supportive learning environments. One of her proudest moments was helping a shy student transform into a confident English learner, a reminder of the power of encouragement and patience. Beyond the classroom, she founded a dried fruit business to reduce waste, support local farmers, and protect the environment. She has participated in global leadership programs, business competitions, and numerous educational initiatives, earning recognition for both her teaching and entrepreneurship. Balancing her roles as an educator, businesswoman, and mother, Fatima strives to be a voice for Kurdish women and a role model for the next generation. Her vision is to continue empowering youth, advancing women’s leadership, and making a lasting positive impact in her community and beyond.
