Fadi Rzgar Othman, born on April 24, 2006, in Erbil, Fadi is a young inventor and student at Soran University, specializing in Mechanics and Robotics Engineering. From an early age, he was fascinated by how things work and driven to solve real world problems through creativity, electronics, and robotics. His projects range from assistive glasses for the visually impaired to smart irrigation systems, solar trackers, and automated fire control towers innovations that combine practicality with social impact. His Assistive Glasses project, designed to help blind individuals navigate safely and independently, remains his proudest achievement, reflecting his belief that technology should empower everyone equally. Fadi’s work has earned multiple awards, including second place among universities across Kurdistan and Iraq at the IEEE Inter University Engineering Competition, along with recognition from institutions such as the Kurdistan Innovation Institute and the Falling Walls Lab. He has showcased his inventions on television, at conferences, and in public events, inspiring others with his vision. Despite challenges, such as skepticism from others and balancing studies in Soran with projects in Erbil, Fadi remains determined to innovate. Supported by his family, friends, and the Ganjina program, he continues to pursue inventions that improve lives and contribute to a brighter future for Kurdistan.
